Hi!
My name is Alistair and I'm 30 years old. I grew up in a town just outside of Glasgow , Scotland. I'm quite a relaxed, easy going person, love to have fun exploring everything and anything! not really a regular 9-5 kind of guy due to my love of travel. I pretty much work, save and book the cheapest flight i can find as soon as possible n get away for a while! Alot of people at home think its weird.....but I love it! :P
My favourate thing about travel, and probably the reason that keeps me going is meeting new people from all over the world doing the same thing! Make new friends, share stories, laugh and have a great time! ....and drink beer :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I would like to be part of a community of like-minded people who share a common interest in travel, exploration and adventure! I have couch surfed many times before how ever this is me just getting round to completing my account...which was probably a mistake leaving it so long but due to recent experiences i thought it is time! :)

Interests

Love good food and nice beer! especially when sharing the experience with friends/family.
At home I spend alot of time during the Spring/Summer/Autumn months hiking and camping either with friends or solo, experiencing what the great outdoors has to offer!
On my days off or at weekends I usualy spend it with friends, out for some drinks and watch the footy or check out some live local music.
doodling/drawing/sketching anything that comes to mind is something i would definately say is a part of my life...an addiction almost... the days disapear lol
Reading was never something i did as a hobby for many years but recently i have made an effort and since then I havnt looked back.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music is a big part of my life, although I would struggle to play the triangle! My taste varies massively...right now I am listening to a lot of bands like Kasabian, Stone Roses, Libertines, NGHFB....but also some Rage Against the Machine, Tool, System, Dune Rats....all pretty different but good tunes!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Solo hiked the West Highland Way, one of Scotlands many trails which runs for 96 miles, wild camping each night. The amzing thing is more for me I guess...the hike was so peaceful and beautiful, the people I met were fantastic and it had been something i had wanted to complete for many years! so all in all it was "amazing".
