ABOUT ME

I'm Alistair, originally from Scotland but I've been in Sheffield for three years now working as a translator (German-English). I recently returned from a big trip around Eastern Europe and the Far East, so I'm back to work now while I save up for the next adventure! Alongside my passion for languages and travelling, I'm very active with regard to sport, music and general socialising.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I am a relative newcomer but have always been a huge fan of this concept. Would like to host people here in my shared house in Sheffield when I can, and I also tend to harbour grand plans to travel my wee socks off and get more stuck into this couchsurfing malarkey.

Spent a week in Svalbard in the Arctic Circle, one of the planet's northernmost inhabited places. An incredible experience and a place I definitely want to return to and visit more.
