About Me
Sorry we're not accepting guests or travelling while covid makes it unsafe for you and us.
stay safe.
ABOUT US
Vous pouvez nous ecrire en francais. Puede Usted escribir en espanol. Capisco Italiano ma non lo parlo bene
We are a Franco-British-Asian family of 4 (+2 cats) Our kids are at university so might not be here. We speak various amounts of various languages.
We are ecology aware so are mindful of how we use water, electricity etc, we recycle but try to use less, grow our own etc.
It should go without saying but we are LGBT friendly :) We welcome people of all walks of life, religions, etc. We will not accept people being racist, sexist, homophobic etc.
Please smoke outside or in the conservatory. No drugs or drunkenness. We have 2 cats so I'm not sure how it would work with other pets.
PLEASE READ - ESPECIALLY IF YOU'RE NEW TO CS
We get a lot of requests so put yourself in our place. Would you invite someone who just says they want a bed?
If you can, do :
* fill your profile fully, the more you say about yourself, the less we feel you're a stranger
* get verified
* get friends and references- so may be you host first and pay it forward, show you are trustworthy
* explain what you think we have in common, why you're choosing us, after all would you open your door to anyone who knocked and said they wanted a bed?
* we are aware that asking questions is sometimes hard to do but if we keep asking about you and you don't ask about us, we will feel it's one way and get fed up and will not bother anymore.
* you explain how you can participate: we can't cook for you every day, we have busy lives and we take time for you, we expect you to take time for us too, including doing your share of cooking etc.
We are also members of SERVAS- another hosting organisation and WORKAWAY- where people who want to stay longer than a few days share their skills and work for board and lodging. We are thinking of doing AIRBnB too but so far haven't.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
We've had guests from many countries, and have kept in touch with many of them. We even had a party with people from all continents- well not Antartica- playing Taboo was hilarious.
We have been hosting with CS, Servas and Hospitality club for over 10 years. We host more than we are guests but we've had some wonderful experiences with various hosts and were overwhelmed again by how wonderfully friendly some people are.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Photographing births, seeing babies being born is awesome, I love this kind of photography!
Being pregnant and having my kids, a different angle on the same miracle.
snorkelling in the red sea; finding gems and fossils- inc. dinosaur's eggs; floating in a hot air balloon over Derbyshire; swimming with sharks; the smiles of the Thai people..
Teach, Learn, Share
Languages, discussions on psychotherapy, philosophy, religions, politics, environment, photography, arts, music listening, jamming- guitar, bass, piano, anything..
Learning about nature: stones plants, birds, all animals, gardening..
What I Can Share with Hosts
I am happy to take people for walks, and help in any way I can if I have time. As I am self- employed my availability varies. Alkesh usually likes jamming with people so if you play an instrument please bring it. We have guitars
