So, my name is Alizée and my cohabitant and boyfriend is Meldreg. We are 26 years old and we live in Brittany in France. In june 2016, we started a one year trip in Argentina (from june to november 2016) and New-Zealand (from November 2016 to june 2017). During this trip, we hope we will discover beautiful culture, landscape and specially people =)

Meldreg :
"I was born in Brittany, the most beautiful place in France :). I have a little brother, and 2 sisters, 1 older and 1 younger than me. Before this trip, I worked as a structural engineer in a design office specialised in naval construction. It was my first job after my studies.
To talk about my personnality, I can say that I am a little bit shy when I don't know a person, but after a few days I will be OK. I love to listen people because everybody have interesting stories to tell. If I'm very comfortable with a person, I like to joke with him, every time."

Alizée :
"So, it's my turn to present myself^^ For my part, I was born in a middle size town La Rochelle but my favorite city in France is Nantes where Meldreg and I lived during 7 years.
My work and study process is a long story... I tried sciences (renewable energies) and teaching that i loved, I was a primary school teacher during two years. But, after all, I decided to try a handwork because I love and need to make and create things with my hands. Today, I just finish a schooling in tiles and mosaic.
About my personnality, I am a very enthousiastic person, sometimes I go in all directions^^. But, I can also be calm when it's need. I love the human relationship, discover other personnalities and experiences, laugh and speak. "

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

We decide to try the couchsurfing because we think that it's the better way to discover a country and especially his culture. Like Meldreg said, everybody have interesting stories to tell so, we would love to hear yours and tell ours =)

Infortunately, we can't welcome people in our home 'cause we don't have one during a year ! Maybe yours will be a little bit our home just for few days and we could share some great moments.

Interests

Alizée : "Concerning my hoobies, I like the hikes and walks. I did sailing when I was younger and I do yoga. I love everything that is related to nature and especially the animals. "

Meldreg : I love sports, I am better to watch it than to practice it, but I use to do handball and tennis when I was younger, and now I like to do musculation a little bit every day and hiking to see beautiful landscape. I also love rock music, series, movies, doing nothing on my couch, but the thing I prefer is food : I love to eat every kind of food, so I will enjoy discovering new recipes !!

Music, Movies, and Books

Our taste are very open in music, movies and books.

Alizée : "
My favourite movie is The piano realised by Jane Campion. This film participated to give me the desire to visit New-Zealand !
My favourites books are L'île des Gauchers, writed by Alexandre Jardin which tells a fantastic and no common love story, and L'élégance du hérisson, writed by Muriel Barbery which is about a caretaker in a bourgeois building in Paris, she is very educated but never says a word about it, she just plays her role. The book remains me to not trust appearances and that everyone has treasures and secrets in him that we can discover."

Meldreg : I'm not a big reader, but I like fantastic comic strip (mangas, comics, european comic strip). My favorite book is Dragon Ball, I use to read it when I was kid, and I still like to read it again sometimes.
Concerning music and movies, I don't have any favorites. I like rock music but I'm open to every kind of music, and I love when someone make me discover a music I didn't know.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

the most amazing thing we've done, we are doing it now with this trip : we leave our comfortable lifes to go in a new adventure only with our backpacks...
