About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Travel the world
My husband and I are on our honeymoon! We've just completed a five month hike from Mexico to Canada and are now traveling Southeast Asia. We have plans to visit Thailand, Laos, Cambodia, Myanmar, Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, Nepal, India, China, and Japan. After said backpacking, we hope to settle in Australia or New Zealand for a year.
ABOUT ME
I want to do everything! I want live in a hut in the amazon and trek to Antarctica. I want to meet as many people as I can who are completely different from me. I love to experience cultures that I've never seen before.
PHILOSOPHY
Do what you love, love what you do.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I have surfed around Asia, hosted a bit in Spain and around the Balkan countries. I'm currently living in a small farming village in Paraguay and open to host. I'll be looking to travel around South America also :)
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Surfing in Japan and Korea was fantastic! I met the most wonderful people who showed me their city off the beaten path. I have hosted a few of my previous hosts and as my roommate is also an avid couchsurfer, we've hosted people together.

Music, Movies, and Books
Harry Potter will always be my favorite book! I do love a good Malcolm Gladwell book also. I'm an avid reader and probably get through at least 3 books a month. I always following a reading suggestion to the end! I'll never put down a half-way completed book even if it's nail grinding.
I love watching movies with my friends from just about any genre. I'm really not picky with movies.
I absolutely love listening to music. I try to experience some new genres every month. This month it's blue grass which has turned out surprisingly well. Live music will always be the best! I used to go out every Thursday in Madrid to listen to the open mic night.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
While traveling around in Japan, I was able to visit a sacred island and hike around there for a couple of days. The monks were so amazing in showing me about and they even let me board in the room that the Dali Lama uses when visiting. It was the most beautiful and unique place I've ever been.
Teach, Learn, Share
I'm happy to teach English, as I have been an English teacher for the past 5 years. I'm pretty decent at Spanish after having lived in Madrid for four years and can give some help with that. I've got some pretty handy ways to get around at a low cost as well as fun places to recommend. I play the flute if anyone is interested in learning that, though pretty doubtful.
The main thing I want to learn is about people. I want to hear how your culture is and what you're like! I love sitting down for coffee with strangers and listening to their life stories and experiences.
What I Can Share with Hosts
We are full of stories from our various trips and adventures. We're both traveling with instruments (flute and harmonica) though I cannot guarantee any skills. We'd be happy to cook a fun meal together!
