About Me
Hello everyone,
my name is Alissa and I came back to my private profile of couchsurfing after a long time. 2019 I used a shared couchsurfing account with my best friend, so people directly knew we're two persons conversating.
(2021) I am currently living in Seoul and am an exchange student at Hanyang university. I would be happy to find new friends in Seoul. If you are interested in the exchange of culture and meeting a new friend, I would be happy to get to know you. If you are looking for a deeper knowledge of another culture (I am German) who currently is learning Korean since two years at university, I would also be very happy to get to know you!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I started with couchsurfing when I was very young, only to stay in contact with other travelers I met during my trip in South America. The next time I created a shared account with my friend Lorina; we hosted some guests in Munich and made some very fun experiences during our trip to South Korea and France.
2019-2020 I lived in a big house with 9 flatmates in Tübingen, Germany and (before the pandemic) at least every weekend somebody stayed over and used one of our couches.
If you are interested, let's meet up and make great memories together.
Interests
(2020) I lived in a big house with a garden, a dog and one cat and 9 flatmates for one year. We even have a small cabine in our garden. Therefore I love being around people, am very talkative and like to experience new activities.
I restarted my academic life one and a half years ago, when I came back from my trip to South Korea and realised Geology is not what I want to do for a living for my whole life. So now I am studying Korean as well as International Literature and would like to become an editor!
Besides that, I love to go for long walks and tend to forget the time when I take my camera with me and take photographs of little details we tend to overlook in our daily lifes. I'm also a cat lover, like to go for a drink or two and am coffee-addicted.

Music, Movies, and Books
I don't really have one type of music I am enjoying, but since I started travelling I try to listen to artists from various countries and music genres. At the moment I enjoy BTS, Daði Freyr, Bukahara, Clueso, EpikHigh, Seodo and a lot of Lo-Fi because this seems perfect for studying.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Last summer I was able to swim with a dolphin in Greece. It was an amazing experience: It came to the beach we were enjoying our time at and started to swim with various people. I thought it might got lost because it was alone and because of all the sounds from human beings, I wanted to show the way back into deep water. Therefore I got into the water and as soon it was close to me, it started to swim exactly in my tempo behind me (I mean, let's be serious, it could have gone at least thrice as fast), looked into my eyes and when I swam sidewards, it also swam sidewards etc. It was insane to see how this (untrained!) animal reacted to my body language and seemed to understand me.
Teach, Learn, Share
I would like to get to know your culture in every way you want to present it to me: Cooking, food, talking, the language, stories, rituals, drinks - what ever you want to offer!
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can share some stories from my travels, teach you German (if you want to), cook with/for you, have a drink together, go out... whatever we can enjoy together.
