I am a mother of 2. My son is studying PhD in Computer Science in Germany and my daughter is studying doctorate in Psychology in USA. I am a freelance French interpreter since several years. Earlier I have worked for 12 years with the travel industry and am passionate about travel and sports. Have travelled to several countries and have hitchhiked across Scotland with my husband long ago. Now I lead a fairly quiet life, teaching French to some students. Walking long distances and participating in short marathons I like. Love good movies and shows on television. Am quiet and mildly spiritual by nature and like to listen to some spiritual leaders on YouTube. Like a simple life but travel and adventure is very welcome.

我为什么加入 Couchsurfing

Travelling, meeting people from different cultural backgrounds has always been a passion and still is. I would love to travel a lot as earlier I often did not have the time to travel as much as I would have liked. Couchsurfing should help to make trips more affordable and possible besides the added advantage of meeting local people which I love to do. Hosting travellers will also enable meeting people from different cultures. Sharing the culture and foods of my country is a pleasure.
I believe one can find the best places to visit and activities to do from the local people.

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

I started a society (organisation) for the promotion of sports in rural India with the idea of development of children through sports. Also, to make sports more available to children.
In my country, children often do not have the space or facility to play and I find that very heart-wrenching.

India has a lot to offer in terms of cuisine, yoga, spiritual learnings and I would love to share any of this with interested persons. I would also love to learn about local culture, beliefs and also cuisines of different countries from the local people.

A room and food in my house. Help with transport when possible. Mine and my family's company of course but also advice on any local matter that the guests may want. Perhaps offer some friends' or relative's place of stay in another city too. Subject to availability, could accompany the guest to some places if that would help. Several other stuff, depending on the guest.
