About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Live, Love, Learn - Learn, Love, Live? Oh wait... Love, Live, Learn?
ABOUT ME
When I arrive in a new place, I first love the feeling of being lost. I do or don't speak the langage, I don't understand the place's logic, I walk down the streets without knowing anything about it and where I'm going. And then, after two, three, four days, when i've repeated "köszönom", "multumesc" or "tesekkürler" enough times, with a little smile because I still feel ashamed of just being another "non local", I get it. I find what I was looking for, and I win the place. That's travelling.
It's the same with people. I'm meeting a new person, I don't know him/her. I might not understand his/her logic or language. And then, after a couple of hours (and usually a couple of beers), I get it, I find the connection that I was looking for. That's exchange.
I might have a ironic and sarcastic humour that not everyone enjoys, I might sometimes sound very critic and I've got quite a sharp mind that loves to struggle about controversial topics, and I like when people contradict me. But don't worry, this just hides a inexhaustible appetite for learning and understanding, and surely questioning my own opinions.
PHILOSOPHY
A friend of mine made me lately maybe the most beautiful compliment ever made to me. She said, Albane you're alive, you're living twice as much as the others, and you make me wanna live more.
That's not a philosophy, that's in my opinion just being respectful for the life I've been given. If someone offers you an apple, you'd be fool not to bite in it!

Music, Movies, and Books
Books: world literature, from ancient latin literature to the newest french and international writers. Love discovering new books, new writers, literature from other countries. Also trying to read one book coming from every country in the world!
As long as it's good, I like it!
Also a compulsive music eater: playing classical piano for years, but open to any kind of new/old/funny/alternative/electro/experimental/ music. To dance, if I'm in some German-speaking country, electro and minimal house. Everywhere in the rest of the world: anything.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I've haven't seen or done anything incredible yet, but the greatest think that happened in my life so far was deciding to move to Berlin. I was 20, it was the coldest winter since 20 years, I didn't know anything or anyone, my german was bad, I didn't have any money or any place to stay. I found a job, a flat and friends, I learned german and spring finally came.
This is not crazy, this is not amazing, this is not even unusual, but I did it, and now I know I can do anything, I can go anywhere, I will always find my way, and that's incredible, to me at least!
Teach, Learn, Share
Living now for some time in West Africa, I might have some interesting stories to share ;-)
I want to learn every langage in the world & I'm a linguistic freak (already said, but always good to repeat). So be ready to tell me everything about your langage!
In exchange, I can teach you french and german -
And now that I've learned how to bake french desserts, I'll be happy to show you!
