About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Currently: Choose between creative or academic reading and writing.
PHILOSOPHY
Avoiding the risk of ever being held to a personal philosophy, I will quote one of my favorite authors, Samuel Beckett, "Try. Try again. Fail. Fail better." I'll also admit here that I recently packed my books away into a box, since I moved home recenty. Thus, the constituent parts of that phrase might be incorrectly ordered.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Well, I, about to begin my travels to Europe, recently joined, but I think it would be interesting to host a person or show them around a town, any one, really.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Once I went to college, my room was changed into an office, so when I am home I sleep on the couch. Sometimes, when I am feeling particularly energetic, I will make cardboard cut outs and paint them like kitschy, elementary-school-play waves, stand on the nose of my long couch and hang ten while holding water in my mouth and occasionally spraying it in my dad's direction, telling him how nice the sea air is.
Interests
I am interested in fiction (including poetry), philosophy, writing, running long distances and as fast as possible, biking with the same characteristics as running, music (jazz interests me, but I love to listen/play [to] music), most difficult things interest me until I attempt to do/say/etc. them and then I decide if I like them, language (not necessarily languages), ridiculousness of ridiculous things, meeting people, etc.

Music, Movies, and Books
Interesting (I am beginning to think that the use of this word by this website is very safe) movies: Most David Lynch film's are interesting except for Dune, though, I will breach the restrictions of categorization and say, "Dune is an interesting book," Lone Wolf and Cub series, I have not been much of a movie goer lately.
Interesting music: Kapela Ze Wsi Warszawa (Warsaw Village Band) and other eastern European folk ensembles, Jazz (as said previously, more specifically, jazz piano), and the rest is not as interesting as it is enjoyable.
Interesting books: A Pale Fire, Company, Ill Seen Ill Said, Worstward Ho, The Unnameable, The People of Paper, Mason and Dixon, Hardboiled Wonderland and the End of the World, Sound and the Fury, Red Harvest, Aporias, Being and Time, Difference and Repetition, Portrait of a Lady, etc.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Searching.
Teach, Learn, Share
You may not care about the following: The subjunctive mood (For example, "If I *were* president of the United States, I *would* stop selling small arms to warring countries.") is part of more ecompassing mood called 'irrealis'. Immediately, this word may suggest the unreal, indeed the possible that, in the verb tense, was not realized. If it were realized, then it would be perfect, present, or part of the 'realis' mood, etc.
