About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Take a step outside of my confort zone

ABOUT ME

I'm a sociology major at UC Davis. Education is what my life has been revolving around for my whole life. I like cooking when I'm not busy. I'm 4th generation Japanese American. I played computer games in the past but now I'm a poker addict; I'm not losing money but not gaining so little I'd starve.

PHILOSOPHY

No matter how bad a situation gets, all I have to do is live one minute, one hour, one day, one week at a time in order to free myself from the tangles of life.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I want to meet some new people. I hope to get some good experiences couch surfing and I will be sure to pass on the experience to anyone many times more people

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

NONE! I found out about this site from a friend I met while in Paris a few days ago. He told me that he's met some really cool people and told me to sign up to save a little money.

Interests

I like racquet sports, tennis, badminton and table tennis, but I can't carry that stuff with me. I like playing poker, I'm not winning money, but not losing money either. I like to be informed about how to make the world a better place.

Music, Movies, and Books

I watch lots of stuff, I listen to anything, I read stuff. I've watched a lot of movies, I just don't think I've seen any good ones lately. Like everyone, I have a huge music collection. My books are mostly sociology books and poker books, I've stopped reading for fun. I frequently read news on the internet.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

One thing I've been blessed with is that I've traveled a lot. I've been to around half of the United States. I've been to Japan, Europe and the Bahamas.
In Japan, I traveled through the mountain terrain
In the Bahamas, I swam with stingrays.

Teach, Learn, Share

I have extreme perspectives of how I see and how I want to make a positive change in the world. I want to help people during my career (possibly teach) because knowledge is power. I also like to learn alternative perspectives of different people and culture to further diversify myself.
