I’m Allanah (they/she)! I’m 22 years old and I’m spending this semester in Brisbane studying abroad. I go to college in Boston and I study art, film, and visual studies.

While I’m in Australia, I really hope to travel outside of Brisbane and see the natural and cultural beauty of Queensland and the surrounding areas. I would love to stay with you or meet up if I’m in your city!

Warum ich bei Couchsurfing bin

I have really enjoyed my previous couchsurfing experiences and thought it would be wonderful to tap back in when I’m in Australia. I am not going to know anyone in Brissy so I’m looking to meet new people and explore the beautiful cities and natural landscapes. Musik, Filme und Bücher

I love all kinds of music and really enjoy listening to new music. My favorite artists are BTS, Rina Sawayama, Janelle Monáe, FKA Twigs, and Beyoncé. I also like Lorde, SZA, Doja Cat, Chloe x Halle, and Lizzo. I’m sure I’m forgetting some.

I love watching movies! Some favorite movies are Everything Everywhere All At Once, Parasite, anything by Jordan Peele, and favorite movies from my childhood like Spirit: Stallion of the Cimarron. I just saw the Little Mermaid in theaters and I’m obsessed.

Some of my favorite shows are Pose, Ghosts, Abbott Elementary, Insecure, Next in Fashion, Sort Of, Avatar: The Last Airbender, Bojack Horseman, and Broad City.

I love reading and would love your recommendations! Some books I’ve loved recently are All This Could Be Different, In The Dream House, Belly of the Beast, The Memory Librarian, The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo, I’m Glad My Mom Died, Braiding Sweetgrass.. the list goes on.
