Hello! I'm Allegra, a 30 year old Londoner. I've always been obsessed with travelling and meeting new people, which has led me to lots of interesting and beautiful places around the world. I'm based in London at the moment, but have lived in a few different countries (Australia, Ecuador, Gibraltar) through my 20s. I work global health as a scientist which means I get to travel a lot with my job, but I also love visiting new countries and experiencing new cultures in my free time as well.

I like to think I'm friendly and easy going. I would definitely describe myself as an extrovert, so I'm always up for socialising and going on adventures. I'm a naturally curious person with a wide range of interests, including nature, hiking, being in the ocean, scuba diving, yoga, football, food, reading, history, politics etc. I definitely try to live life to the fullest possible and make the most of every opportunity that comes my way.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I used to use Couchsurfing in my early 20s, and it always led to the most fun adventures with the most interesting people. It's for sure the best way to get to know a place, and those trips are definitely some of my favourites that I've been on. I also often have people come to stay with me in London, mostly friends of friends who I've never met which is always so fun and lovely.

In Spring 2024 me and my best friend Pavlina are going on a little US road trip in Spring 2024 from New Orleans to Nashville. I'm super excited as I haven't been to the US since I was a teenager, and I always think Americans are the most enthusiastic vibesy people. We thought what better way to see the country and get to know the culture and people than to stay with some Americans along the way!
