ABOUT ME

I like the constant stimulation of being in a crowded city space as much as the quiet on Mount Townsend's peak. I like traveling alone by ferry, bike, bus, train, plane, shared car rides and meeting lots of people along the way. I like to create music, art, and writings.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I will host when I have a place to host from! In the mean time I will surf.

Someday I may have more room to host, but for now I just have my one bedroom apartment with no couch.

I've stayed with some really amazing women in Europe!

Interests

Community and cooperatively-run organizations and projects, music, food, friends, weather.

I have a lot of professional musician friends who I totally admire, but I just play music casually for fun. Same goes with visual art. I'd like to make a career of writing some day, but for now it is just a hobby as well.

I'm interested in learning about self-sustenance and sustainability in general (growing my own food is a big goal for me; for now I focus on eating as locally as possible).

I've organized a lot of concerts and I even started my own venue at one time. The Artwalk I started and the venue I founded in Tacoma are still running, even though I've moved back to Minneapolis.

Music, Movies, and Books

Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind is my favorite movie of all time. I even organized a concert called "Meet Me in Montauk" with Calvin Johnson and Astronautalis (took place in Montauk!)

Minneapolis Hip-Hop, Northwest Electro-Pop-Folk, music my friends make and people I know (P.O.S., Doomtree, Grant Cutler, Astronautalis, The Bad Plus).

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I spent a few nights on Little Corn Island, a tiny place without roads and without a label on Google Maps.
