I grew up in the midwest of the United States and have been lucky to visit a lot of places. I spent a semester abroad in Spain in 2015, and that's when I really caught the travel bug. I'm passionate about technology and using it to help people. When I'm not working, I can normally be found reading, flight searching, or playing soccer (football, fine).

Everywhere I go, I find that it's the people that make the place. Culture doesn't exist without people, so to get a true taste of anywhere in the world, it's the people you need to meet more than the places you need to see. Hostels have been a great way to meet other travelers, but Couchsurfing is the best way to meet locals! Between lodging, recommendations, and joining in on the fun, Couchsurfing hosts are the best!

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

When I was younger, my grandpa and I would go to a Boston Red Sox game every summer at Fenway Park. One time when we were behind home plate, Big Papi (David Ortiz) hit a foul ball that ran up the protective netting and dropped down toward our row. I reached out and caught the ball in my left hand, and while I got glared at by all the other oh-so-close fans around me, I've kept that ball and the memory for a lifetime.

I love trying new things! Adventures, restaurants, parties, I think there are a lot of fun activities and energy around a place that you take for granted when you live there. I love showing friends around where I live because it brings me back to see all of the amazing things around me and how beautiful the world can be.
