I am Chinese and have been to the US for 7+ years(Study and Work). I graduated 3 years ago in New York and have been working in NY ever since. I live in Jersey City, which is a quiet and cleaner place (10 minutes away from Manhattan by subway). I would say it's really convenient if you want to tour around Manhattan.
