My name's Ally, and I am a Classical Dance Instructor. I have done it all. I've worked as a Ballet Instructor, as an ESL Instructor, as an Interpreter Over the Phone, as a Pet's Groomer, and as an Au Pair, and each one of those jobs, for however long or short they lasted, left me a learning. I got to know myself, other people, and the world better and better at each opportunity. And now I am ready for my next big adventure. Where will life take me next? I've literally no idea, but am I excited about all the possibilities that extend before me? Absolutely!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I, like almost everyone on this site, consider myself a traveler. I haven't seen much of the world. Hell, I haven't seen not even half of the half of the half of it, but I'm eager to, and I still have plenty of time (my whole life) to walk around the world.
Still, I love to meet new people and to, little by little, learn about them and their culture.
I have only lived in two countries: México, and the USA, and both countries are AMAZING. Still, I find unbelievable and amazing how different both countries are, given that they're in the same side of the planet, and when I think about how vastly different other countries (that are on the other side of the globe) must be, I wish I could go there asap and experience all that diversity firsthand.
But! I, like many people on the planet, have dreams and plans and goals that I'd like to fulfill and achieve before taking my backpack and travel all over. So, until I am at peace with myself and the life I've created, I'll be a grown up (I kinda refuse, but still) and put my plans of travel around the world on hold.

Interests

I love theatre and Musical Theatre, and even though I am not by ay means and expert, I do enjooy A LOT going to a play or a musical, or a ballet, etc... I actually used to be really really involved in the theatre and musical theatre scene in my home town back when I was younger, and I miss SO MUCH the thrill of being on stage, rehearsing or performing infront of many people.

I think of myself as an artist, even though I am hardly an expert in any art. Still I enjoy acting, and dancing, and singing, and I used to be realy good at playing the piano (I'm getting back on it), and I like a lot to write, and to read, and every now and then I like to take my watercolors and paint something when I'm really really inspired.
So, as sad as it is to say that living off of art is sometimes not enough, that's what I'd like to end up doing with my life.

Music, Movies, and Books

I am an utterly romantic person, so music, books and movies that contain even the slightest bit of romance in them win me over completely.
I read mostly novels, whether it be romantic, sci-fi, or romantic novels, and lately I've been very into police/crime novels.

The music I enjoy listening to is very calmed music. I love classical music (given that I'm a ballet teacher and all), and acoustic music as well. Like I'd listen to the acoustic version of whatever song more times than the original version. I do like music with a little bit of a beat and music one can dance to, but overall my tastes are very mellow.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Well... I've done many amazing things through out my life, from going to live to an other country as an au pair (and the responsabilities that it involves), to finally starting to live mylife as my true self.
