Overview
About Me
Hey! I'm Alli. I'm a bit unsure what to put here. I find it hard to describe myself, so that's the first bit. I'm a little bit of a nervous, awkward person who also happens to be slightly adventurous and into new experiences and exploring. I have an interest in the weird and morbid. I'm pretty into crafting. And I guess like everyone else I'm just trying to make my way through the world the best way I know how.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
When I travel, I like having places to stay, as most of us do, and I like to see an inside view of cities and places. The best way to do that is to sleep on a stranger's couch! Also, meeting new people is nice.
Interests
I like to knit and crochet. I'm pretty into cooking and feeding people. I read. I've been told I read a lot, but I don't know if I believe that. I like watching movies, particularly classics. I like junk stores and thrift stores and anywhere you are free to dig through things. I also grow things in my garden. Oh! I'm vegan, so I like animals a lot. I have three cats, so I guess I'm a little bit of a cat lady.

Music, Movies, and Books
Books: Faulkner, Phillip K Dick, Margaret Atwood, Zora Neale Hurston, Ursula K Le Guin, some nonfiction. I just read The American Way of Death and I'm really into that sort of thing.
Movies: Fargo, anything Bergman, anything Svankmajer, old French nonsense (I just got really into Agnes Varda), good and bad Hitchcock. Pretty much old arty stuff, but new arty stuff is really good, too.
Music: Deerhoof, Xiu Xiu, Swans, the Magnetic Fields, a lot of my friends' music. I'm not sure. I guess just more arty nonsense.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I find amazement in a lot of the quiet things in life. I adopted my cats. I met my partner. I moved across the country. I guess I haven't done much the outside world would think is amazing.
I made this really tiny mitten once.
Teach, Learn, Share
I'm not a very good teacher, but I love discussions on things. I like to encourage people to learn how to knit and crochet.
I always feel like I have so much more to learn. It's sort of what drives me in life. I'm not so much into school as I am into trial and error, but that's learning to.
I love sharing food. Ha.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I always feel like I don't have much to offer other people, so I try to make up for that in being nice. Like I've said already, I like to share food.
