Hello!

My name is Alli. I'm an Aerospace Engineering student at the University of Cincinnati and I just finished interning in Germany! I am always excited at the chance to visit somewhere new and explore. Some of my favorite things about travelling are the connection and the opportunity to hear other people's stories. I really enjoy getting to know people like this and am always willing to share my story!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I enjoy the more personal and raw experience to exploring a new country or city that CS provides. It's like getting to know the city like a local as opposed to a tourist (don't get me wrong though, I love touristy spots too!)

Interests

My interests are extremely varied and I love to learn new things, but travel, soccer, visual arts, and music are some of the most prominent.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: My music interest is extremely varied. I usually lean towards alternative and electronic music, but my playlists are a mix of everything.

Movies: Again, super varied. My favorites are definitely The Guardian, Sully, The Proposal, and Harry Potter (all). I also always enjoy a good documentary.

Books: The Giver, Quiet, Harry Potter (all), Into the Wild, A Wrinkle in Time, etc.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I'd say three of my best stories are of an African safari in the Kalahari desert (where I proceeded to then get food poisoning), my 18-hour train to and from Slovenia (where I had one of the best trips of my life), and a spring break road trip to hike the Grand Canyon (we drove 27 hours to get a one day permit, so it was down and up - exhausting but worth it).

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm slowly but surely learning German, but I can teach you a few songs on guitar, a little bit of physics, or even some goalkeeping if you want!

What I Can Share with Hosts

I love to share stories of experiences I've had and those that I want to have. I also usually take a lot of photos and videos when I travel that I edit together to share with everyone too!
