Love to cook, eat, sing, whistle, walk, play badminton and swim... pretty mellow New Yorker living and working abroad. I'm a great listener and am really good at getting people to calm down when they're worked up. On top of that, my advice is usually pretty rational!

I left the US almost six years ago, planning to live and work in Thailand for a "maximum" of six months and wound up staying for five years - but when it's time to go, it's time to go. And so I find myself here, in Kyiv, Ukraine, probably for at least another year. It's not as cold as they say it is and in the summer months, the sun begins to rise as early as 3am and sets long after you've gone to bed.

When it comes to travel, I like to get to a place with a few ideas, but really like to depend on the locals to show me the ropes.
