About Me

I am a recent college graduate from North Dakota State University where I studied Child and Adolescent Development and Psychology. Shortly after graduation I made the decision to move from my home town Apple Valley, Minnesota to a suburb of Denver, Colorado. I moved on a whim without a job or knowing many people in the area. I couldn't be happier with my decision! I love the mountains and the sunshine, and just the overall vibe of Colorado! I now am nannying which is very flexible and allows me to travel.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I have a flexible schedule that allows me to travel (when my bank account allows it....) and I think this is a great opportunity to build connections around the world and in the near future I would love to return the favor of hosting people in my area.

Interests

Music, Movies, and Books

I love all kinds of music, my favorite is Country but I love Pop and Hip Hop as well. I am a big Spotify user for both music and podcasts! Gotta love the Discover Weekly playlist!

I am not a huge movie person (my attention span doesn't allow me to pay attention for entire movies) but I do love Harry Potter, I love kids movies (Lion King, Trolls, Coco especially), but also really like Dark Thrillers and Horror Movies. I'm the type of person that will make someone else pick the movie because I'm indecisive and will pretty much enjoy anything!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I think that my move to Colorado is pretty amazing. I am a huge planner, and for once in my life I took a giant leap of Faith and went for something I wanted without much thought. I have grown immensely and I am proud of the way I have put myself out there to meet new people and have experiences I wouldn't get otherwise.

Teach, Learn, Share

I would love to teach people about Lacrosse! It's a sport that is becoming more popular but is very complex and unlike any other sports. I would also love to learn about other sports that aren't common in my area (someone teach me about Polo, land and water, please!!)

I want to learn about the differences we share. I'm always fascinated by different cultures and how people can live life so differently from me. I want to learn and grow from that. I want to learn to be more patient, adventurous, money savy, environmentally friendly, happier, more thankful, more at peace with myself, and so much more. I want to learn from the way other people live their lives to help me become a better me.

I would love to share laughs and good times while I am visiting. I like to believe I am a pretty funny person, and when I feel comfortable around someone I will act like I've known you for years even after we've just met! I want to share contact information and stay in touch with the people I meet. I would be happy to share my house with anyone planning to come my way. I also love to take photos (I'm not a photographer by ANY means but I do have a nice camera) so if you are comfortable I would love to get some great shots of you or us and send them your way to remember me by.

What I Can Share with Hosts

As I mentioned earlier, I think I'm funny! I enjoy laughing, talking and have a good time. I have a huge heart and find it easy to connect with all different people. I would love to leave each home with a new friend for life.

Countries I’ve Visited
