About Me

I long to know people, to sit and listen, to engage and to celebrate and glorify God in all of that. I am so hungry to learn from others, learning more about the creator through people.

I am an architecture student at the University of Tennessee, co-owner of a local business, Bare.Thred, lover of people, maker and so on. My interests change almost daily but some things I continue loving are people, coffee, cycling, hiking, mountain biking, architecture, book making, celebrating others, letter writing, journaling, sharing stories, talking to strangers, dried figs, almond butter, sharing food, and living with others.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am on couch surfing to meet and engage with people- whether that be through exploring a new place or simply meeting up. I find so much more value in understanding a place through a person who experiences it locally, than to be exploring from a hotel. I wish to learn and engage with new cultures- while allowing people to do the same.

I am not currently accepting guests as I am traveling through Los Angeles for the summer. Will happily be accepting guests as I transition back to Knoxville in the fall!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

One amazing thing I've done is fly to LA for a weekend with a friend, talk to some strangers, meet more people, find a local clothing business, talk to the founder of the company, land an internship, drive out to Los Angeles, live in a new city on my own. It was one of the most challenging fruitful experiences to move across the country on my own for the summer- forced to experiences new cultures and ideas. I learned so much about God's people in different communities and how humbling it is to seek help from the people around you.

Teach, Learn, Share

I believe every person has something worthy to teach, I think everyone is capable of learning something new, and I believe that every person has value to share with the world. There is nothing more encouraging than to sit with a person that you can teach, learn and share with- absorbing the knowledge and experience they have to offer, while sharing the same with them.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can share consistent joy and eagerness to explore and dig deeper. I can share a sense of optimism, approaching the unknown with so much excitement. I am eager for adventure and would love to share that with the hosts I interact with. I can also offer help around the home- whether that be cleaning the house, taking care of pets, or babysitting. I would love to use my gifts and talents to serve the host in any way!
