Serve as a Peace Corps Volunteer for 2 years and explore every inch that this country has to offer

ABOUT ME

I am currently a Peace Corps Volunteer serving as a primary school teacher on mainland St Vincent. I will be living here until August of 2016. I teach the students how to read and also teach general music. I am loving every minute of it.

I run, swim, bike and eat veggies. I play guitar, ukulele, fiddle, trumpet & mandolin. I love almost all things domestic. I would consider myself a localvore.

I want to travel to as many National Parks as I can in my life time. I also have a rule that every new place I travel to I have to run in that city or country. So far I've run in Italy, France, Spain, Ireland, The Bahamas, St Lucia, St Vincent, Dominica, Grenada, New Jersey, Florida, Ohio, Kentucky, Wisconsin, Georgia, Vermont, Indiana, Virginia, West Virginia, South Dakota, Colorado, Tennessee, Texas, Nevada, Utah, California and North Carolina, but I still have a long way to go. Someday that list will include all 50 states.

I love being outside and all things physical. Some day I will bike across the country.

lots. I enjoy movies that I'm still thinking about the next day or even the next week. My music taste is incredibly diverse, from folk to classical, to british rock invasion to indie, oldies, progressive rock, bluegrass, jazz. Beatles, Mahler, Dvorak, Death Cab for Cutie, Cake, Fleet Foxes, Ingrid Michealson, Jethro Tull, Pete Seeger, Woody Guthrie, Ben Folds, Ella Fitzgerald.

I love Pride and Prejudice, and I read cookbooks like actual books.

I went sledding one midnight in January.

I also saw a shooting star at 2 in the morning while lying on abandon boxcars one August.

I've slept on top of mountains.

I've hiked inside the crater of a volcano here on St Vincent.

I'm a capable guitar player, ukulele player, baker (mostly muffins, quick breads and cookies, but I'm getting better at cakes and other delicacies), runner, and I'm awesome with kids.
