ABOUT ME

I am passionate about three things: Writing, Travelling and Reading. All the wonderful languages and cultures I encounter, and the ones yet to be encountered, never cease to amaze me. I have travelled somewhat especially during the past ten years or so and have lived abroad from 2005 on. From 2010 on have been back in Finland, at least for now, pursuing my PhD in Gender Studies / Fat Studies.

PHILOSOPHY

My personal philosophy is always under scrutiny (by me), moving, shifting, transforming - but within certain limits and frameworks, eg social justice.

Interests

Writing, Travelling and Reading :) Studying. Planning future tattoos and life paths. Quizzes. Informal education. Watching movies. Activism, social justice, veganism, feminism, yoga, different beliefs, spirituality, ayurveda, tantra, vintage, the arts.

Like to read: Orwell, Vonnegut, Z. Smith. Overall, pessimistic future scenarios à la Huxley and Bradbury.

Like to listen: Almost anything goes, from John Coltrane to Björk, from Bad Religion to Emilie Simon, from Aavikko to Erykah Badu, from Rinneradio to Jill Scott.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Made it to the top of Mt Kinabalu in 2004. And back down, which actually was considerably harder.
