Overview
About Me
I'm Allison, a native of Maine (ie a large area of land comprised of mostly trees, lakes, and animals with smatterings of people) but currently out exploring the world. I'm not always sure where I'm going but that's what makes this an adventure, right? I like exploring abandoned places, hiking, biking, singing, and laughing. I know a teeny bit of French and a bit more of German, but also really want to learn more languages. I studied International Affairs, anthropology, and renewable energy in school but I'm really not sure what I want to do other than travel, paint, write, and play music.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I'm hoping to host at some point once I have an established home, but for now I'm wandering and looking to meet new people along the way. I couchsurfed across Europe in 2013 and 2015 and how the most unforgettable experiences. This summer (2017) I'm taking some time to explore my home country and road tripping across the US from Maine to California. I find the couchsurfing community to be very open and accepting and a great way to make genuine human connections. I'm hoping to have some awesome experiences and meet more wonderful people along the way!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
It's hard to pick one! Midnight swimming in the Danube under the city lights of Dresden is definitely something I'll never forget.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Music!! I'll have my guitars and maybe keyboard with me so we can jam if you also play, or I can show you a few things. I can also whip up a decent meal that we could exchange stories over.
