I am an outdoor enthusiast just starting a career in outdoor education. I have been living in North Carolina the past several months, but will be heading back to work in Alaska pretty soon. I love hiking and backpacking and want to learn different outdoor skills as well. In the past, I have guided a season on the Mendenhall Glacier in Juneau, Alaska and on the Rio Grande in west Texas. I've also spent nearly 3 months backpacking, mountaineering, and sea kayaking on a NOLS course in Chilean Patagonia. I'm pretty laid back, clean, and very self-sufficient. I love meeting new people and learning different ways of culture and life!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I absolutely love the idea of couchsurfing. I think it's such a cool and unique way to travel and meet new friends. I am very new to it and would really like to become more active within the community. My seasonal jobs that I work usually provide housing, so I'm unable to host people. One day, whenever (if) I decide to settle down, I would love to host some surfers.

I can share yerba mate and boardgames if I'm travelling with my car. If I'm not, then I can share open-minded conversations and a sense of adventure :)
