I have couchsurfed during some travels around South America and it is a great way to meet new people and get a more local perspective on a city.

兴趣

I am fairly easily entertained. I like walking around a new city, doing things outdoors, especially if it involves hiking or being on water. I enjoy music, attempting to play instruments (or listening to those who can!), knitting, crafty things, playing games, doing crossword puzzles, and learning about new foods and cooking.

I don't like choosing favorites. I do like pretty much any type of music (but perhaps not heavy metal) - anything bluegrassy is great. I am trying to learn the Colorado music scene.
I don't watch movies very often but as long as it has an intriguing plotline, I can follow along.
I love to read both fiction and non-fiction. Currently, I read a lot of children's lit at school with my students. You can learn new things from Magic Treehouse.

I travelled solo around South America a few years ago. One standout place was Machu Picchu - it was awesome. Another favorite was Patagonia in southern Chile and Argentina - incredible, some of the most beautiful lands I've ever seen!
