About Me

Hello everyone! I'm from Colorado originally, made my way to Europe and graduated in 2019 from University College Utrecht in Utrecht, the Netherlands. Currently I'm studying German in Hamburg and hope to attend medical school next year somewhere in Germany.

Outside of studying I spend a lot of my time going on walks through the forest, doing yoga, watching movies, and working on some art over a nice cup of tea!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I love the idea of connecting with people and exploring new places, and sharing the places I love with others.

Traveling solo is wonderful, but its even more wonderful to get out of your bubble and authentically experience all that a place has to offer! love seeing what other people love and do, so I am always open any recommendations, anything out of the ordinary or spectacular that people see or do where they live.

And this goes the other way around as well, of course! The places you live or know are a part of you, and it's immensely satisfying to share that with others. Travelling is a wonderful experience and a great way to connect with other people, whether it be sharing an experience, your thoughts on life, or just a couch with some strangers.

Music, Movies, and Books

I'm a major film nerd, so I love all things movies, especially independent cinema. Some of my favorites are Good Will Hunting, Young Frankenstein, A Town Called Panic, Truly Madly Deeply, Galaxy Quest, and the Fisher King. I could go on forever, so I better stop there.

My favorite book is titled Stallone, and it's actually in French (motivates me to keep practicing my French skills). I also love Brave New World and Hot Zone.

Usually I'm not as adamant about music, but I have an undying love for Elliott Smith and a local band from my town called Nadalands (look them up - they're great!). Other than that, I'm into a lot of indie/alternative and techno/underground electronic music.

Always open to new recommendations!
