About Me

☺️👋🏻👋🏻
I am an expat currently living in Bangkok. I have lived abroad since around 2010, either studying or teaching at international schools as an early years teacher😍🍎📝 I travel every chance I get, though I typically travel solo because I've found you meet far more people that way. Currently my next trip is South Korea April 12-22

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I travel alone mostly so I'd like to meet more locals who know the area. I am also always looking for new places to move to, so meeting other expats really help me make up my mind on where my next "home" will be.

Interests

I'm a kid at heart so kids, teaching and anything related to that is very important to me. My next love it yoga, I have practiced now for over ten years. Outside of those, I love hiking and being outdoors. I am also a great cook and find a lot of joy in making a damn good meal ☺️☺️

Music, Movies, and Books

Music is all based on mood, but my go to artists are

Chet Fecker, Halsey, Lorde, Verite, Leon, Evalyn

And house. House is ❤️.

Any and all documentaries, planet earth, and mind teasers like inception, the invitation, and enemy.

I love classics (Moby Dick, Count of Monte Christo) but also love more current books like Wild, Gone Girl, The Martian, Slumdog Millionaire. I read quite a lot so that's just the first titles that come to mind.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've traveled to 30 countries, bungee jumped, sky dived, and did a 2 month trek in the jungle.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I am very independent, but social. I love meeting new people and sharing stories-- one of the best parts of traveling is hearing about the adventures of the people you meet. Being an expat myself makes it easy for myself to relate and connect to others, which generally makes for some great conversations.

Countries I’ve Visited
