I studied the environment and sustainable agriculture at the University of Missouri and those two things really shape who I am. I find great peace in nature and seek it out almost constantly. I also feel a deep connection to growing food, eating good food, and supporting those tho grow food locally. Food is a builder of community. It should be shared, eaten, talked about, and grown in an appropriate and respectful manner.

I lived in France for a summer, grew up in Chicagoland, born in California, and lived in Milwaukee where I honed my appreciation for dark beers and sharp cheeses. Now I'm in the small town of Frederic, wi working on a natural farm growing vegetables and getting sunburns.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

People need to be better to one another - this site helps on that mission so I want to support it!
Plus travel should be accessible to everyone on whatever budget. Part of travel is people and there is no better introduction than sleeping together (apart) :)

Interests

Food, trees, soil, sun, water, grass, light clear blues, sleepy-folky music, snow, killing houseplants, thrifting, and when something that you planted starts to peak out of the dirt.
