About Me
ABOUT ME
Hi, my name is Allison. I'm 32. I was born and raised in Ohio, and I'm a PhD Student in English and Creative Writing at University of Tennessee.
My family has owned and operated a motel for over 50 years, and I've learned a lot from the travelers who pass through. Through the motel business, my father has taught me to value hospitality, empathy, and friendliness.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I love meeting new people and experiencing new places. I like going to concerts, being outdoors, having deep conversations, and understanding a culture from the perspective of people who live it.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I've been to events in Columbus, but many of my family members and friends have couchsurfed all over the world.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I've slept in the desert in the Middle East, I took a train from Ukraine to the Caucuses, I've eaten an orange off of a tree in Jack Kerouac's old yard (thanks to Ian), and I drove ten hours to see Bob Dylan play at a county fair with my dad.
