Couchsurfing allows people to do this naturally, when hosts take their surfers under their wing to show them a little about their world.

I enjoy more crime-related books and podcasts. Also a massive fan of some famous self-help books.

Movies; I love a good psychological thriller or thinking film. Animated films are also up there, but prefer to have a film challenge and excite with various twist and turns.

Volunteering in India was pretty special. Taught Math and English to students aged between 5 & 12.

Also excavated (by hand) tonnes of earth and stone from the mountainside to make space for a septic tank for the school's toilet system.

Such a rewarding experience that I'll value forever.

I dream of learning Spanish one day before I travel Central and South America. I have always been interested in Hispanic culture and cuisine.

Enthusiasm for cleanliness and respect of space. Whenever I surf on friends' couches I always strive to be as unimposing as possible.

I am a social creature and enjoy time spent sharing stories and events over a meal or glass of wine. However, I always try to minimise disruption to a hosts usual routine by maintaining a minimal footprint in their home.

I can cook some varied meals and always interested in learning new dishes that I may not be familiar with.
