About Me

CURRENT MISSION

I am traveling these days (ok for around a year right now) – I can't host no one, sorry. But you can join my journey!

ABOUT ME

Hey I'm André, I'm a trilingual photographer and I've lived at several places and really enjoyed to move from one to another, to meet people and gaining a lot of life experience. I'm a very miscellaneous, easy-going and open minded person always looking for the next experience.
I consider myself friendly and easy going, clean and extremely appreciative of anyone that will have me to surf on their couch!
Let's meet for a beer or two. At yours? At mine? Whatever – Yeeeaaaah!

I'm really into media, design and some kind of art, which leads me to my current studies of communication design.

I really enjoy doing photography (even I do less since studying), creating new things, sports, traveling such as foreign languages, meeting new people and doing crazy stuff.

PHILOSOPHY

I can do anything I set my mind to!

"Das Ganze ist mehr als die Summe seiner Teile" - Aristoteles

"Light makes photography. Embrace light. Admire it. Love it. But above all, know light. Know it for all you are worth, and you will know the key to photography.” - George Eastman

"Das Auge macht das Bild, nicht die Kamera" - Gisele Freund

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Being hosted and hosting people's. If there's anybody needing a couch - just text me.
I'm really interested to know some of your history, so I'll take some time talking and have a drink or two.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I was hosted in Virginia, several places in France and Germany and I had an awesome time with the people I met on the spots.
Last time I surfed was at a great family place in Cologne - it was an last-minute thing, but even we arrived in the middle of the night, the family welcomed us very friendly. Great experience!

Interests

A bunch of - I'll definitely forget some
Photography, Medias, Design, Snowboarding, Wake-boarding, Badminton, Football, Basketball, NFL, MLS, MLB, NBA, Music, Cars, Mountain Bike, Cooking, Arts, Driving, Languages, Traveling.
Maybe politics even I hate the topic - but it's always great to have a discussion about it.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I was standing and winking in front of all spectators during a film at the movies looking for my friends just like "Hey guys where are you sitting at?".

At new years eve 2010-2011 I was walking straight to the doorman of a party and made them believe that's my party.

31st of December 2012 I went bathing in the Mediterranean Sea – water was a little cold – when I came out I can't walk at all disabled by about 200 of sea urchin spikes.

Travelling the month of september 2013 through China while sleeping outside all the time.

Teach, Learn, Share

The more water you'll put into your microwave, the faster it gets nuked.

To travel in the deepest corner of a country buy yourself, having nobody talking the same language as you, will definitely be the best way to learn a foreign language.

Try to do personalized shots while taking pictures - try different settings and do NOT all the time trying to get the technical perfect picture. Put at least a breeze of your personality in it and you'll get something gorgeous!
