About Me
21 years young and enjoying every minute of it!
I study Mechanical Engineering at UC Berkeley in California. Last January I moved to Lund, Sweden for an exchange semester, and then worked in Hamburg, Germany for a couple of months. I love traveling and exploring new places. I am easygoing, open-minded, and always up for an adventure!

Music, Movies, and Books
MUSIC
Music is my absolute passion in life. I love listening to it, playing it, talking about it. Some of my favorite bands/artists are: Led Zeppelin, Fleetwood Mac, Rolling Stones, Alabama Shakes, Amy Winehouse, Van Morrison, Joni Mitchell, Matt Corby, Crosby Stills & Nash, Lake Street Dive,Alt-J, Bon Iver, Bahamas, Sublime, passafire, Sticky Fingers, Vulfpeck, Leon bridges, Ella Fitzgerald, local natives, California Honeydrops, Fat Freddy's Drop, the new mastersounds, Gary Clark Jr., die Höchste Eisenbahn, Sylvan Esso, My Morning Jacket, Mura Masa, Chet Faker, Flume, and many more...
I am always very open to discovering new music, so please feel free to trade some suggestions!
I also like to sing and play guitar, piano, and bass, so if you play an instrument and want to jam, that would be awesome! Or if there's any cool concerts happening in your city, I'm always down for a concert too. I'm a horrible dancer, but that never stopped me from getting a groove on ;)
MOVIES
I don't watch movies too often, but I usually like music documentaries/movies about music (like Amy or Almost Famous) or mind-benders (like Inception, Fight Club, and Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind)
BOOKS
The Stranger by Albert Camus is probably my favorite book
I also like 1984, Into the Wild, and also—as you've probably guessed by now—music biographies (Storms: My Life with Lindsey Buckingham and Fleetwood Mac is really good)
Teach, Learn, Share
I can help you practice English, although embarrassingly enough, throughout my travels these past couple months, I've found that many of the Europeans I've met have had better English than I do....
I can also teach you how to solve a Rubix cube, how to play an A9 chord on the guitar (my favorite chord), how to make pancakes using only eggs and bananas, and answer any burning questions you have about American culture (although, as I said before, I'm sure many Europeans know even more about American culture than I do...)
Looking forward to learning anything and everything I can about other cultures, languages, food, etc.!
What I Can Share with Hosts
Will share good music, good conversation and laughs, swap travel stories, and the great opportunity to make a new friend!
