I am friendly and easy going. I like music-both listening and playing, cycling, cinema and films. I like walking, outdoor adventure and camping. I work as a carpenter/furniture maker which allows me to put my creative and problem solving talents to good use.
My kind of travelling is winging it, going with the flow, seeing what happens, where you end up and who you meet along the way.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Because booking somewhere to stay last minute can be hassle or very expensive, and with couchsurfer I get to meet new people and help like minded people find somewhere to stay.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love rock music, but i like all music, I listen to BBC 6Music most of the day at work. I don't read a lot because I don't sit still a lot, but when I do I normally read New Scientist magazine, or occasionally a book that a friend has recommended. I love the cinema, a great chance to disappear into another world. Recently I've seen Mad Max and Slow West. I really like Cohen brothers films, and anything with a good story.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I went to Scotland in february and one day I climbed to the top of a snow covered hill using Ray Mears style snow shoes that I made myself from tree branches. When I got to the top of the hill, the view was rubbish cause the clouds had closed in, but the journey getting there and back was unforgettable. I saw wild deer, wild cat paw prints in the snow and birds of prey in the sky.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can share music, I can play drums so we could have a jam. I can fix things, I am a great practical problem solver. I can fix and maintain bicycles, so I can repair your 2 wheeled friend in return for letting me stay. I like cooking, so we can eat.
