Overview
About Me
New people, new places, new experiences, it's all good. My interests are mainly artistic and creative (music and writing, see below) but with its incredible beaches, mountains and desert Almería is making a sportsman out of me. I moved from Scotland to Spain six years ago. I work hard and I party pretty hard too. I'm easy to get along with.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
My friends have hosted me and I've hosted them in many places. I reckon couchsurfing is a good way to pass on the love.
Interests
My interests are mainly artistic. I play piano and guitar. I write fiction. But beyond that very wide. I'm interested in whatever tales and points of view you might have to share.
- literature
- guitar
- piano
Music, Movies, and Books
I'm a heavy reader, love it. Favourites include Bulgakov, Tolstoy, de Beauvoir, science fiction and Magic Realism. Pamphlet poetry. Anything with beautiful pictures, like Shaun Tan's graphic novel The Arrival.
Music-wise, I listen to classical, rock, folk, dance, funk, acoustic. And as for movies, I like them, but what with the amazing climate in Almeria I prefer going outside.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I dunno, loads... Sure I'll think of some stories when we meet in person.
Teach, Learn, Share
Yes, all of these. Preferably all the time.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I'm a respectful guest. I'm recently back from a great trip to Armenia so I can share some pretty cool stories from there. As a host, I can share a lot of tips on visiting Almería and the surrounding area. And there is the option to hang out with me and my party-friendly, swing-dancing, outdoorsy friends.
