About Me

Hello all! I am an optimistic, adventure-loving, photograph-taking, yoga-teaching, dancer from California! I've been traveling all my life, mostly because more than half of my family lives in Portugal and we used to visit them every other summer as I was growing up. When I was younger I spent a summer in Cyprus at the University of Nicosia for photography, and just last summer got my yoga certification in Costa Rica. I love visiting different countries and really immersing myself in different cultures. Earlier this year, I traveled through Europe for three months and had the most incredible experiences. Although Lisbon will always be my favorite place to visit (can't compete with the overwhelming joy of being with the fam!!), I do have a soft spot for Copenhagen, Dublin, and Prague, mostly for the lifelong friendships that I made there. Nowadays I travel mostly by myself.

As an individual, I respect all property and always clean up after myself. I try not to make my presence known in terms of things lying around, and I believe you should always leave a place as if you were never there. Also, I take great care to make as little noise as possible once it's night time. On the other hand, I am incredibly social and love meeting new people, so I'm used to adapting to the personality of my
hosts. I will most likely spend most of the day outside exploring if I stay with you!

5 things I can't live without are my books, my pets, dance, coconut ice cream, and my friends (so cheesy, oh my gosh, but so true). My top three favorite books are The Unbearable Lightness of Being by Milan Kundera, The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho, and The Witch of Portobello by Paulo Coelho. As for TV, I don't watch a lot of it but Stranger Things really took my breath away and I recently just started watching The Americans. So suspenseful!!

My life motto is definitely, "Have courage and be kind."
