My girlfriend and I are traveling and would love to meet cool people! We are both artists (Alysia is a musician and I am a poet) and we are clean, considerate, friendly and respectful as guests. We are independent and don’t need your attention 24/7 but will be excited to get to know you and spend time together whenever you can.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I think that what it comes down to is that I prefer to learn about the people and places I visit and not just consume what is readily available for the tourist. In the same way, I would hope that visitors to my home get to actually engage with the culture and environment of the place, learn about it, maybe even grow to love it. Couchsurfing is unlike any other form of accommodation. I always leave feeling inspired from a couchsurfing experience, whether it be with hosts or guests.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you to yo-yo, cook, to do a cartwheel (this can be tricky), English or Spanish, how to whistle with a blade of grass, recite poetry, Alysia can sing you a song,
or play guitar with you. We can exchange music/books/podcasts. We are always up for an adventure in nature or collaborative art projects. Mostly we would just love to know you and know what you love about where you live!
