Hey! So my name is Ally :)

I grew up in a small country town in Prince Edward Island (smallest province on the eastern coast of Canada). In 2010 I decided to move to the 'big city' in Toronto after I graduated for a new experience! I currently live and work as a Graphic Designer in Mississauga, Ontario.

I love staying active with lots of sports. Soccer, ultimate frisbee, volleyball and rock climbing are my main ones. But I can also be found boxing, at the archery range, playing badminton and going for hikes. I'm up for a ping pong challenge any day. ;)

Coming from the small province of PEI where the population is 140,000 to the city of Mississauga of 713,000 with a much more diverse demographic was definitely an eye opener and great experience for me. I am fortunate to have housemates that are usually international students from around the world. And I love having groups of multi cultural friends to learn more from them. I really enjoy getting to know different cultures and it makes me that much more excited about traveling. :)

I have had the opportunity to travel around in Europe a little bit, and my favourite memories have always been with locals. I've met some great Couchsurfing and Workaway hosts that have really given me the best time in their town and not feeling like a tourist to just see the main sites. I love getting to know what their day to day life looks like and have loved the European lifestyle.

Getting out of my comfort zone and challenging myself to traveling Europe for 3 months on my own was a great experience for me and it all started with Couchsurfing, so I'm grateful for this!
