ABOUT ME

I've had a bit of an unusual life which includes living in Russia for 11 years and currently a year and a half in Saudi Arabia. I was born in Scotland, but grew up near Cambridge, England.

I am very creative, being able to turn my hand at art, writing and guitar. On top of that I am also quite sporty, as I go running and hiking, and also follow football.

As for my character, I'm very easy going, open-minded, polite, considerate, and rather liberal.

Finally, I was married until recently, and I have a twelve year old daughter.

PHILOSOPHY

Keep going, don't give up, maybe one day I'll get a lucky break.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'm mainly interested in traveling, but I would be more than happy to consider requests to stay at my place. Although, I'm way off the tourist trail.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've surfed twice, once in London and once in Jeddah. I would like to try this more often.

I've hosted crazy round-the-world travelers twice in my remote outpost in Saudi Arabia.

I've been to CS meetings in London, Jeddah and Riyadh.

Teach, Learn, Share

It's interesting to speak to people who have similar experiences, and also interesting to speak to people who have done things that I haven't done, or know things that I don't.

I can teach English, Russian (but with a not great accent) and how to make abstract art.
