About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Taking life's challenges with a grain of salt...
ABOUT ME
Where to start?? Well, I've recently graduated from University in Switzerland. I'll be taking a break from Academia and trying to find a job/career to fill the time between now and my master's degree. There are lots of things I could say about myself, but one's own perception is generally different than an outsider's perspective.
I have a passion for people, culture, and change. I'd consider myself adaptable, both introverted and extroverted, ambitious, yet also lazy (but who isn't at times?), independent, yet also reliant on social inputs. If this doesn't help you at all, you'll just have to meet me in person I guess. :)
PHILOSOPHY
Life is about taking one step at a time. Everything happens for a reason - every person you come across, every situation you find yourself in, every decision you make.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I have surfed and hosted. I have met couchsurfers for meet-and-greets as well.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I have had the lovely experience of couchsurfing in various cities in England, Switzerland, Estonia, Sweden, Iceland, and Texas. Meeting and learning through other people while couch surfing has begun to restore my faith in humanity.
Interests
I am a jack of all trades, but a master of nothing. My interests vary so greatly it's hard to sum them up in a short paragraph....
I used to play the cello, but that pursuit has since come and gone, though I still love to pick it up every now and then. Music will always be special to me.

Music, Movies, and Books
Don't take any of these seriously, these are just some titles that came to mind first - How I Paid for College, Omnivore's Dilemma, Fahrenheit 451, The Good Earth, Great Expectations, Overthrow, Sookie Stackhouse series, Random Historical Books... I actually like reading textbooks (that's all I have time for anyways...)
Movies - I love almost any genre with the exception of Horror. There are a few, of course, that I enjoy on occasion.
Music - I am really terrible with names, but genre wise, I pretty much enjoy anything. Once a musician, most music can be considered a form of art with some aspect that can be appreciated. One exception: I do not like modern country music.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I can't just choose one, so....I have watched a chicken hatch in my hand, jumped off a cliff into Glacier water in Switzerland, helped build a home with my bare-hands in Honduras, have almost fallen into the Grand Canyon, and I have played on the stage of Carnegie Hall in NYC.
Teach, Learn, Share
Never plan a detailed trip. Anything and everything will fall apart. Just plan to get yourself to your desired destination and go from there. There are fewer things to go wrong and the journey is always more fun.
