PHILOSOPHY

give a man a fish and he'll eat for a day. but if you teach a man to fish, he'll eat for a lifetime.

if you give a woman a fish, she will feed her family first and might possibly go hungry.

if you teach a woman to fish, she will feed her family, open a fish market, and build her community's economy until outside forces take away her fishing rights or pollute the lake.

if you help a woman buy the lake, she will feed her family, enlarge her fish market business, build her community's economy, and keep the lake environmentally clean and have something to pass on to future generations.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I cs'd my way to Munich and had a great time. Then I went to Berlin, and it rocked!!! On my way to Paris tonight, and CS holds it down!!!!

Also, I've recently figured out 8 components that are part of what makes my venture a happy one:

*Relaxation
*Partay
*Local Food
*Live Music
*Something Athletic
*Adventure

I also add that friends (old and new) can make or break a trip. I love to travel solo, but there's gotta be some good folks at the end of my rainbow.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Well, enough has been said to describe it, so I'll jot down some thoughts on what I'd like to get out of it.....

* Some cool friends to hang with
* A clean place with some space
* A great JAZZ festival (if not possible, a cool live jazz set will definitely do!)
* Clear communication....if something's going wrong...let's chat, solve the problem, and have a good time
