Why I’m on Couchsurfing

In my limited experience, I've found that the best way to travel is to find a way to meet locals and experience a city in the same way they do. So far, I have really enjoyed WWOOFing and work exchanges and would love to try couch surfing next.

Music, Movies, and Books

My favourite books include Salmon Rushdie's Midnight's Children, Jane Eyre, Alice in Wonderland, Ian McEwan's Atonement, and Margaret Atwood's Orxy and Crake Trilogy among many others.

I like many different types of music, but some of my favourites include The Pixies, Jurassic 5, Iron and Wine, The New Pornographers, and pretty much anything featuring the violin or saxophone.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I'm not sure it's amazing, but one thing people seem to think is neat is visiting the Yukon; the very north of Canada. That being said, I usually spend my summers there, so I can't claim to have really experienced it without having lived through -50 Celsius!

Teach, Learn, Share

I'd love to get any language practice I can in and would be happy to offer any advice about English, but, while I am certified, I don't have much practice teaching yet!
