One of my made-up sayings, based on my favourite film is 'cinema is my paradise' and it encapsulates my love of film but also my naive daydreaming sometimes ;) I know it's a cliche, but I really want to feel a citizen of the worl and get to know cultures through their locals and their current taste and issues. My ideal job would be to do a travel documentary around the world, exploring just that. I only lived in my home country, Romania and the one where I studied filmmaking, in the UK (Canterbury and London). I feel close to both in my heart, but live in Bucharest at the moment, because it's a great place to be right now. It's still cheap, diverse, much more trendy than it used to be 5-6 years ago and there's still loads to improve ;) Many expats, cool communities and entrepreneurs make my homecity feel like an undiscovered Berlin or something...

I also realised lately that I love countries beginning with an 'I' : Iceland, Ireland, Italy, India, Jordan (Iordania in Romanian) and ones I hope to visit soon - Iran, Indonesia, Israel.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

To meet new people when I cannot travel myself, and to talk to locals when I am travelling, because they always have the best insight into a new place.

Interests

I love observing people, their habits and candid moments and try to photograph everything that fascinates me - lately I'm very into the newest social video apps. I studied film and tourism, so I enjoy traveling as well as finding inspiration from the people I meet and locations I see for scripts or other forms of ideas that I can spread to the world.
