I 'm Maria and I 'm a biology student in Heraklion, Crete, Greece. I 'm dreaming of traveling the world, meeting and interacting with people from different cultures and different perceptions towards life, learning new things and gaining new capacities through a variety of experiences and maybe finding my purpose in life. I am a little dissapointed by humanity but I still have faith and I hope that things will get bettar. I believe that people will someday be able to coexist and respect the uniqueness of every individual. I think that the key of hapiness is to be able to live with yourself no matter what the circumstances are and be in peace with yourself. Then everything else comes naturally. And spread love. Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I joined couchsurfing because I want to meet people from all over the world, exchange opinions and cultures, learn something new and teach something new as well, broaden my mind and my horizons, make my trips more meaningfull and adventurous and give the opportunity to other people to know me. I think by getting to know new people you learn more about yourself.

Interests

I 'm currently in a theatrical team of my university and it's pretty fun because even if you are not thinking to beacome an actor you learn some pretty useful and amazing things there and interact with many new people. I also love listening to the music all the time and going for a walk near the beach and discovering streets in my town I 've never seen before. Sometimes in my free time I like drawing (mainly with pencil ) and making some crafts. I love animals and hope that one day I will have a stable life and an appartment that will allow me to have a huge dog so that we will both be happy. In my free time I also read books about various issues, articles about spirituallity and psychological issues and try to figure out the inner magic of human beings and the power of their brains. That's why I want to become a neuroscientist. Nature is purifying for me and I like hiking, visiting new landscapes and enjoying every moment there. I have never tried any extreme sport but I dream of doing so in the immediate future. I ;m sure I'm forgetting something but you can always ask me!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Plan a solo traveler trip!

Save 3 puppies that had been abandoned inside a plastic bag next to the garbage and be able to host them in my apartment and take care of them and feed them with a syringe for a while until they recovered fully and found a new home, and be the first one they saw when they opened their eyes (one of the best moments of my life)!

Wake up every day and try to shine!

Trying to do something new everyday and get out of my comfort zone!

Teach, Learn, Share

I love languages so I can both teach and learn, I love cooking ( it's pure creation ) so I can share my recipies with everything and although I love music I never had the change to learn how to play any musical instrument so any help provided will be accepted (I have a guitar) and also maybe some vocals...
Generally I like talking a lot about art, religion, the universe, controversial social issues and other philosophical subjets..
