ABOUT ME

I am from England and have been working as a freelancer in Germany since late 2003. Despite the occasional frustrations, I wouldn't do anything but work for myself! I am definitely in the right job.

PHILOSOPHY

I am not materialistic, but I like to be cosy and comfortable, and I'm a firm believer that all the money in the world means nothing at all if you haven't got good friends, that the only person in the world who can make you happy is yourself.... although surrounding yourself with good people certainly helps!! I have a tendency to think too much, but generally I take life as it comes.

And if something needs changing because the situation's only making you very unhappy, change it if you can, even if the blow hurts and knocks you flying... pick yourself up and start again!

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I couchsurfed a couple of times myself, and hosted people from Russia, Belarus, Canada, US/Germany, Mexico and the UK in 2009. Hosting went a bit dormant in 2010 and 2011, but I'm set up again now.
