My name is Sergei Malyshev, in June 2018 I had ended my 3rd year of Computer Science Bachelor course at Bauman Moscow State Technical University (BMSTU) and 2nd semester at BMSTU & Mail.Ru Group Educational Center "Technopark". In August the same year I had been invited on a position of software engineer Cisco Systems, located in San Jose, California, under the Cisco International Internship Program for 1 year.

In addition to the internship I travel within the USA, visiting various air shows as a hobby, among which:
2019 Yuma Airshow, 2019 Space Coast Warbird Airshow,
2019 Thunder & Lightning Over Arizona,
2019 California International Airshow,
2019 Air Show Thunder Over the Bay,
2019 Heart Of Texas Airshow – Waco & The Heart of Texas
2019 Air and Sea Show Miami Beach as The National USA Salute to America's Heroes
- and do photography of each moment during all these incredible events on my Canon camera and set of wide and telephoto lenses.

Over the last two month of the fascinating aviation photography, I got desire to attend the launch events of the various rockets, including the launches from such companies as SpaceX, United Launch Alliance, United States Air Force. In the moment when rocket is lifted off the ground and is risen into the sky, I am overwhelmed of emotions! The spacecraft leaves the Earth, reaches solar system and moves to interstellar space - unbelievable! During such moments it has become a passion. So far I have twice watched ULA Delta IV and ICBM Minutemen III launches from Vandenberg AFB and from Cape Canaveral. 

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

It's going to be quite new experience for me. Like an adventure during the set of my first hitchhiking rides in Florida I am interested to try something new in my life with CouchSurfing. But as well I am interested to exchange already earned experience with other couchsurfers! =)

And by saying above it is a great fear with such new way of traveling - I am ready to overcome it!

Music, Movies, and Books

I have got several favorite kind of music, among them: neoclassic (David Garrett) and electronic music (Kraftwerk). But I am fine with various of other genres! Music is emotions, so I prefer music that is clearly based on my mood.
Movies: StarWars and Avengers - just mainstream! =D
Books: The Universe Metro 2033 and Erich Maria Remarque - quite different pieces of art.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Trip to Florida to see SpaceX Falcon 9 launch - these guys delayed it 4 times for 7 days at all! It was a complete failure for me (my trip was just about 4 days), but I have visited Kennedy Space Center - `must have` place in Florida!
