ABOUT ME

Journalist student, morning person, improv musician, wonderer.

I'm a fun, happy-go-lucky and extremely easy-going Finn who loves stories, music, nature and spontaneity. I can always look on the bright side of things, and I am ready for all new things and adventures.

I have this rush in my blood, that makes me want to travel, move forward, seek and rejoice. This rush also makes my life quite unstable, but I'm trying to find the zen to enjoy it that way. I am independent and value freedom above everything.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

At the moment I don't live in a place where I could accommodate couchsurfers, but after this summer I'll be ready to take you in again :)

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've hosted mainly friends I've met on the road. Crashing at my friends' and their friends' places has been the usual way of accommodation while traveling. Had some couchsurfers over too, and it is always a pleasure.

兴趣

I'm interested in arts, music, politics, environmental issues and theater. I enjoy going to gigs, having picnics and long conversations, reading books, doing yoga and just collecting new experiences and memories. Collectivity is important to me as well.

When traveling, wandering is my favourite thing to do. I love old or otherwise interesting buildings, as well as I love nature, animals and gardens. Take me to a beautiful place, take me for a hike, take me swimming, and I'll be forever in your debt.

I read loads, both contemporary and classics. To mention some writers I love: Tove Jansson, Haruki Murakami, J. D. Salinger, Nabokov, Alexandar Hemon, Jonathan Safran Foer, Timo K. Mukka, Terry Pratchett, Robin Hobb.

Music: At the moment Finnish indie/alt bands, punk, 70's rock, electropop. I'm up for any kind of live music. I play the piano and sing, do a bit of guitar as well, and definitely don't mind a bit of jamming if it's possible.

Directors and movies I enjoy: Quentin Tarantino, Baz Luhrmann, Hayao Miyazaki, Guy Ritchie, Les Parapluies de Cherbourg, V for Vendetta, Star Wars. I've got a serious thing for zombies and horror too!

I also like PC and console games!

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

The incredible multitude of stars in the vast blackness of the sky at a marsh river in the middle of Australian outback, where the nearest street lights were hundreds of kilometers away. In the bush I could hear aboriginals shouting and singing around their bonfires. It was like magic, and at the same time it was breaking my heart. Why? I'll tell you when we meet!

I'm also into improvisational theater and improvised music - I'll gladly jam or teach a few techniques to you!

I'm willing to cook (I'm vegetarian), and I'd be more than happy to participate in small tasks around the household. Otherwise, I am always up for a drink or a walk in your favourite local spot. I'm also fine if the host is very busy - I always find something to do.
