About Me
[Note to surfers in Istanbul: Me and my brother will be hosting our cousin for the summer, that is why the house is nowadays too small for a fourth person. :( ]
When I feel comfortable, I talk a lot.
I laugh a lot.
My voice is not good, but I sing a lot.
I should lose weight to be healthier and look fit in my clothes, but I eat a lot. :D
I've been writing content for different types of blogs and managing social media accounts of brands. They were not famous brands, but the salaries I got helped me survive as a student. I still do these for a small business.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Surfing:
I'd like to travel as much as I can. During my vacations, I don't want to simply be a tourist in that country for few days; I want to be lifelong friends with locals. That is the closest thing to being a local in my opinion.
Hosting:
It's a pleasure for me to help people so that they won't get lost in my city. It sounds amazing to host people with good attitude, listen to their stories, and tell mine.

Music, Movies, and Books
Ravel-Bolero is simply a m a z i n g!
I suggest you to listen to some songs that Scott Bradlee's Postmodern Jukebox covered. They're fun.
I love acoustic coffee-house playlists the most on Spotify but I enjoy listening to trap songs from time to time.
All of Dan Brown's books made me fall in love with and want to visit Italy.
If you don't like cliche romance movies, try ''Once'', ''500 days of Summer'', and ''Before Sunrise / Sunset /Midnight'' trilogy. That trilogy also made me wanna visit the cities they're shot in. That is why I spent hours in Vienna to find places 'Céline' and 'Jesse' walked around.
I'm a fan of 'mockumentary' series. The Office, Parks and Recreation, Modern Family... I find them hilarious.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Confessing my love to somebody... It was the biggest relief and the best decision I made.
Applying to Erasmus programme was the second best decision.
Having a tattoo (a little girl in cartoon character shape, watching stars and a cute moon) on my arm. I love that little girl. That girl is basically me, because I love watching night sky.💙
Camping. It's never been or it'll never be orthopedic; but sleeping under the stars, waking up in a forest / on a beach is beautiful. It makes you less hungry for more furniture or a bigger house.
Teach, Learn, Share
Are you planning to visit Istanbul? Here is an advice: Although they are stunning, Sultanahmet and Ortaköy won't be enough for you. Please get lost in Balat, Yeldeğirmeni or Karaköy streets; visit Otağtepe Park for a spectacular bridge view at sunset; chill in Moda park by the sea and go to Kadıköy at night for a beer.
There are so many satisfying dishes to try that you may gain weight as a result of visiting Turkey just for couple days.
If you look like a tourist (you don't even have to speak in another language than Turkish: Blue-eyed and blondie? You are certainly a tourist. ), unfortunately, sellers, taxi drivers etc will treat you differently. They love raising prices. You might consider having a local with you. :D Nevertheless, even if they can't speak in English very well, locals are always ready to help foreigners. It's an instinctive behavior and it's very common.
If you use euro or dollars in your daily life, you will feel rich in Turkey because the price level is extremely low for you. Why? Because of stupid governance in finance, and some obvious political problems. They pushed the value of Euro and USD against Turkish Lira up rapidly in the recent past.

I seriously started thinking that being able to ride a bike is the key to freedom. I'm eager to learn it. Yes, I'm 22 and I still can't. I didn't have my own bicycle when I was a kid and none of my siblings accepted to teach me. Later, it seemed more and more difficult due to the risk of falling and getting injured.
(28th May update: Today I started learning! It's a big step for me. I had problems with balance but I'll keep practicing.)
(14th June update: Tried it again and succeeded!!! I should definitely practice more though.)
