About Me
Hi there !
I'm Almos currently residing in Budapest, I think I am enthusiastic and easygoing... most of the time :) Greedy to learn and ready to share my experience about the world with others. I discovered CouchSurfing and love the idea of meeting locals while travelling.
I have lived/worked in multiple countries and had my fair share of travelling. Now it is time again to support the community by helping travelers to enjoy their time in my city.
I do not have big expectations from guests other than be clean, unfortunately I had negative experiences with a few surfers...
... also, I would prefer guests not cooking dishes in my kitchen (again, because of negative experiences from the past). If you have the desire to cook your national dish for your host, then maybe this is not the best place for you, sorry ! :)
I very rarely accept CS request for 3+ days. If you want to cook and stay for a long time ... no, you don't want to do that here, sorry! :)
I am always happy to welcome travelers who have already travelled in Asia (Pakistan, Iran, Afghanistan, Bangladesh etc.) or who are planning to visit that part of the world. I have a deep interest in the region and happy to share my experience and tips from my numerous travels from the past years.
Be aware that I am working Mon-Fri therefore I won't have much time to guide you around during the workdays.
Please do not send multiple requests for Budapest based hosts. This is not the way of using this platform. If you found your ideal host, then send the request only to that profile. If no response/decline, then send a new request to someone else. If you are sending a request to me and cancel later on due to multi requesting, then I will give you a negative reference in return of you wasting my time.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
To meet interesting people from all around the world, to learn about their culture, to have a good time while being on the road!
... and to be able to practice my fantastic Urdu language skills - I have been learning it for a while now, but it is difficult to maintain the skill as there is not much opportunity to practice in Budapest.

I can teach you some Hungarian/Urdu words (be aware: not the easiest languages to learn :) )
Interesting discussions I like, small talk not so much. I am happy to talk about travel experiences, politics, Middle East and Central Asia, music or movies.
