About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Always look on the bright side of life (whistle, whistle, whistle, whistle)
ABOUT ME
Born in Honolulu, Hawaii, grew-up in the San Francisco Bay Area, lived in the UK from 2006-2010 and now back in the US. I'm part Filipina, Chinese, Spanish, Italian, Mexican, German, and English and would like to visit all of the countries that make-up my ancestry.
PHILOSOPHY
Several guiding philosophies including:
- Carpe diem
- Try not to live a life of regrets
- There is no dress rehearsal: this is it
- Reach for the light, but embrace the dark
- See the best in others and recognise each person's unique gifts
- Cultivate important relationships
- Tell people you love: "I love you"
- Laugh!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I've met people for coffee, travelled with others, and stayed with a few CSers (ALL of them very gracious and generous hosts!). CS is a great way to bridge the gap between other like minded people who love to meet others and travel.
Interests
Travelling; walking/hiking; listening to music; fine dining; seeing films; going to a museum, theatre, concert, festival, fair, comedy club; reading; taking photographs; shopping for vintage clothes or unusual earrings; laughing; meeting new people; learning about other cultures; being outdoors; baking cookies; taking calculated risks; soaking in a lavender or coconut scented bubble bath; daydreaming.

- "The King's Speech"
- "Monty Python and The Holy Grail"
- "The Princess Bride"
- "The Shawshank Redemption"
- "Young Frankenstein"
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I had my daughter at 17 years of age. Pretty amazing. She's pretty, amazing, smart, and talented, too. But I'm not biased. :^)
Teach, Learn, Share
I relish learning about anything, well maybe not about car engines. Fascinated by people in general: what makes them tick, their drives, desires, and passions.
Someone once described me as having the ability to talk with anyone, anywhere, and at anytime. I'm interested, but I think interesting, too. I was a teenage mother, so I grew up rather quickly and found myself dealing with Empty Nest Syndrome in my mid 30s. A few careers in sales, corporate America, and now I'm in the healthcare field. I make a wicked mashed potato casserole. So I suppose I know a few things that I would happily share with the right audience.
